An experienced Calgary Photographer

I bought my first DSLR camera in 2010 when my first child was born. Like all new Moms I wanted to capture his tiny toes and every single smile and sneeze. Right away I was hooked. At the time, we were living on the East Coast far away from family. I loved setting up cute photo shoots so I had a steady stream of images to send back home. As my son grew so did my love of photography. I would lug my trusty camera everywhere the park; the pool, the grocery store (ha!) …you name it!

As time went on, I added friends to our photoshoots and discovered not only did I love photographing my own child, but others as well. We went on to move two more times over the course of four years and added another child. I dreamed of starting my own photography business but knew with moving around it was not the time.

In 2014 my husband, son, daughter and I moved back home to Calgary and I began photographing my friends and family. At the beginning of 2016 we welcomed our second daughter and by that summer I knew the time was right to pursue my dream of photographing families and kids for a living. The rest, as they say, is history.

When I photograph children and families I see them through a Mother’s eyes. I love not only capturing the smiles, but also the sweet candid moments of kids being kids…from fuzzy little baby heads to skinned knees peeking out of shorts. Childhood is in the details. At every session, my aim is to make it fun and quick for kids AND parents. I believe in making kids smile rather than telling them to smile. I do my best to play games and have fun to capture genuine moments and expressions. Capturing real moments and smiles is always my goal.
